Their journey began when Arzu discovered the timeless art of crochet and fell in love with its endless possibilities.

 

She was inspired to create a line of handmade items that could be treasured for years to come.

 

And so, the business was born in 2020 during Covid.

The background story of the entrepreneur

Arzu Gorbil, a dual Irish-Turkish citizen, founded her online business ‘The Crochet Dolls’ in October 2020. She had lost her job and saw an opportunity to get creative.


She decided to pursue her passion and start a new business which involved handcrafting crochet dolls. Arzu, who moved to Ireland in 2011, said she grew up in a culture where crochet was part of her daily life.


The Crochet Dolls are handcrafted and made with great attention to detail. High-quality QEKO-TEX certified cotton yarns are used in all their products. Therefore, they are FREE from harmful chemicals which may cause allergies and irritations.
